The state recorded a 49.13% voter turnout by 3 PM, with Nuh district leading at 42.64% while Panchkula registered the lowest at 25.89%.

Religious Slogans Trigger Tensions in Panchkula

A major confrontation erupted in Panchkula's Sector 17 when BJP workers began chanting "Jai Shri Ram" slogans upon seeing the wife of Congress leader Chandramohan Bishnoi at a polling booth. The situation escalated rapidly, requiring CRPF intervention to restore order. The incident highlighted the growing religious tensions during the electoral process.

Violent Clashes and Knife Attack Rock Multiple Districts

In a shocking incident in Panipat's Israna constituency, polling was disrupted when a knife attack occurred at Nohra village. The accused, identified as Johnny, allegedly stabbed Sonu alias Mota following a dispute over voting, prompting immediate police response and creating tension in the area.

Hisar witnessed violent confrontations between supporters of BJP candidate Captain Abhimanyu and Congress candidate Jassi Petwar, with both sides trading accusations of bogus voting. Physical altercations broke out, leading to several injuries.

Booth Capturing Attempts and Stone Pelting

Nuh district became a hotspot of violence with three separate incidents of stone pelting reported between Congress, INLD-BSP, and independent candidates' supporters. Two people were injured in these clashes, leading to enhanced police deployment in Chandeni, Khwaja Kalan, and Gulalta villages.

In Jind's Julana area, allegations of booth capturing surfaced, leading to a confrontation involving BJP candidate Captain Yogesh Bairagi. Similar incidents were reported from Fatehabad, where INLD-BSP candidates accused BJP candidate Devendra Babli's brother of unauthorized entry into polling stations.
