A transporter from Haryana's Charkhi Dadri district committed suicide, leaving a note expressing distress over the possibility of Prime Minister Modi's party not winning 400 seats in the elections. The incident has sparked discussions about political fanaticism and mental health.

Kiran joined Congress on persuasion of Rajiv Gandhi and became the General Secretary of the All Indian Mahila Congress in 1986.
