The remote, sandy region of Badhra subdivision in Haryana may soon gain international recognition with the establishment of a prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) campus. Following efforts by Member of Parliament Dharmabir Singh, the central government has directed state officials to find suitable land for this major educational project.

The Director General of State Technical Education has sent an urgent letter to the Deputy Commissioner of Dadri district, requesting an immediate search for 300 acres of community land in the area. The Badhra tehsildar has been instructed to identify potential sites and complete the necessary paperwork according to government requirements.

A Boost for Backward Areas

The central government decided in its last session to develop international-level education and employment hubs in backward areas rather than focusing only on major cities. This approach aims to bring underdeveloped regions into the mainstream of education and rural development.

MP Dharmabir Singh submitted a formal request for an IIT in his constituency, which the central government has now approved. With the construction of international-standard highways like the 152D from Kotputli to Chandigarh and the proposed mega highway connecting Delhi to Kandla Port via Jaipur, the regions of Dadri, Badhra, and Narnaul have excellent potential for industrial development.

Education Transforms Regions

The youth in this area will finally have a reason to dream big. With an IIT coming to their region, students who once had to travel hundreds of kilometers just to see a quality campus will now have one of India's most respected institutions.. The impact goes beyond just engineering - these institutions foster groundbreaking research in sciences and even humanities.

Economic and Social Benefits

"The news of an IIT coming to our area has created a wave of happiness among MP Dharmabir Singh's supporters," said Sudhir Chandwas, Chairman of the Central Cooperative Bank in Bhiwani. "This proposal was made possible only through Dharmabir Singh's tireless efforts."

The MP has consistently worked to bring educational improvements to the region, believing that development is impossible without education. The IIT will not only enhance educational opportunities but also accelerate development in other sectors throughout the region. This represents the second major project announced for Charkhi Dadri district in just one month, signaling a significant transformation for this long-neglected area during BJP's third term in government.
