Haryana Board Exams: 334 Cheating Cases Detected, 64 Staff Removed from Duty

BSEH tightens vigilance; evaluation to begin from April 2, results likely in May

The Board of School Education Haryana has stated that a total of 334 cases of cheating have been reported so far in the ongoing Class 10, Class 12, and D.El.Ed. examinations.

Besides student misconduct, stringent action has also been initiated against staff members. A total of 64 officials deputed for conducting the examinations have been relieved of their duties owing to charges of negligence and failure to discharge their duties.

Peak Violations on a Single Day 

The maximum number of cheating incidents within a single day has been recorded on February 25. On this day, 17 incidents of cheating were detected during the Class 12 English paper and D.El.Ed. Second Year Reappear paper. On this day, two supervisors were also relieved of their duties.

Cheating Cases Show Decline 

In comparison to previous years, this year's figures have registered a notable decline:

2023: 2,511 cases

2024: 1,155 cases 

2025: 813 cases

2026 (up to now): 334 cases

The final figures for this year are yet to be compiled.

Evaluation Process to Begin Soon

BSEH Chairman Pawan Kumar Sharma stated that preparations for evaluation are underway. Answer sheets are being coded for confidentiality. Tasks have already been assigned.

Checking of answer sheets will begin on April 2 in the following centers:

52 centers for Class 12

75 centers for Class 10

 4 centers for D.El.Ed

Result Timeline

The board plans to announce the results of Class 12 first and then Class 10. Results are likely to be announced in the second week of May.

Focus on Fair Exams 

The strict monitoring and disciplinary actions by the board indicate a focus on fair exams and sending out a message against malpractices.
