In a significant development for Faridabad, Seema Trikha, the lone female MLA of the BJP among nine Assembly segments in the Faridabad Lok Sabha area, secured a ministerial position in the state government. She assumed the role of Minister of State (Independent Charge), marking the second such appointment from Faridabad during the current BJP government's tenure.

Trikha's journey to this prestigious position has been marked by her resounding victory in the Badkhal Assembly segment in the 2014 elections. Initially appointed as one of the Parliamentary Secretaries, she had to relinquish the role due to legal constraints. Nonetheless, her active involvement in party affairs and politics ensured her proximity to former CM Manohar Lal Khattar, positioning her as a trusted confidant, as noted by political analysts.

Despite speculation surrounding other potential candidates, including an independent MLA from the region, Trikha's elevation is attributed to the change in the CM's position, particularly from the Punjabi community, filling the void left by Khattar.

Expressing her aspirations for her tenure, Trikha aims to address issues related to basic amenities and pending development projects in her constituency and city. Her husband, Ashwini Trikha, highlights her commitment to reviving the iconic Badkhal Lake and resolving local challenges. He emphasises that her appointment reinforces public trust in the BJP's policies and programs over the past decade.

Trikha's new role is poised to invigorate local governance and ensure effective representation for Faridabad's constituents.
