In the horryfying Himani Narwal's murder case, the victim's mother has spoken out with emotional and potentially revealing statements about her daughter's death. Narwal, a young Congress leader whose body was found stuffed in a suitcase near Sampla bus stand in Rohtak on Friday, had gained prominence after participating in Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra.
Mother's Shocking Allegations
"They couldn't stand seeing her succeed," she said, her voice breaking. "All these big politicians watched my little girl climb so fast, making connections they spent decades building. Some people in the party would smile to her face but I saw how they looked at her when they thought no one was watching. How dare this young woman from our simple family rise so quickly? That's what they were thinking." She paused to wipe her eyes before continuing, "My daughter was a threat to someone's position or ambition. Why else would they do something so horrible?" In her emotional appeal, she specifically raised suspicions about potential involvement of party members. "I don't know many people personally, but many party members used to visit our home. Anyone could be behind this," she said, folding her hands while pleading for justice.
The grieving mother emphasized that her young daughter had "put a lot at stake" for her political career, making her sudden and violent death all the more tragic. Photos of Himani with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during the Bharat Jodo Yatra have been circulating on social media since the murder came to light.
Last Moments and Family's Stand
Recounting the last time she saw her daughter, Himani's mother revealed, "I was with my daughter until 4 PM on February 27. After that, I left home. When I called her on the 28th, her phone was switched off."
Clutching a handkerchief, her eyes red from crying, Himani's mother revealed that her daughter had plans that fateful day. "She was so excited about going to that Kathmandi event," she said, her voice faltering. "You know, where Hooda sahib was going to speak. She had picked out her outfit the night before and kept checking her phone for updates from the organizers. That man—Hooda sahib—my daughter looked up to him so much. She told me she had some important party matters to discuss with him. Now she's gone, and I keep wondering if she'd still be alive if she had made it to that meeting."
In a strong stand, the family has declared they will not perform Himani's last rites until her killers are apprehended. "We demand justice for our daughter. We will not conduct her funeral until the culprits are caught," family members told reporters.
Investigation Status
Despite the high-profile nature of the case, police have yet to make arrests in connection with the murder. The body was discovered on Friday near Sampla bus stand in Rohtak district, stuffed inside a suitcase.
The case has already sparked political controversy, with Congress leaders including former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda condemning the murder and criticizing the state government over law and order issues.
The mother's emotional appeal has added pressure on authorities to expedite the investigation. "I request the government and administration to deliver justice to my daughter," she pleaded, as the family awaits answers in this shocking case that has sent ripples through Haryana's political landscape.
