In the winter session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha on December 15, Sh. Anil Vij, the Minister of Medical Education and Research, shed light on the impactful Mukhya Mantri Muft Ilaz Yojna (MMIY).

As of May 11, 2023, the government has approved the Mewat Area Allowance, equivalent to 10% of basic pay plus dearness allowance, for all regular employees at Shaheed Hasan Khan Mewati Government Medical College, Nalhar, Nuh. This benefit has been in effect since April 1, 2023, excluding those who were transferred, deputed, or directly recruited in the home district of Nuh.

Minister Anil Vij highlighted the array of medical services offered by SHKM GMC, including radiographic and laboratory investigations, special lab services, and the provision of free medicines under the Mukhya Mantri Muft Ilaz Yojana. The institute also hosts a Jan Aushadhi Store for the distribution of generic medicines.

Mukhymantri Muft Ilaaj Yojana (MMIY): Providing Holistic Healthcare

Launched in January 2014, MMIY aims to deliver free medical treatment, covering major healthcare components for all citizens. The scheme envisions providing affordable, accessible, and equitable quality health services to enhance the well-being of Haryana's residents, ultimately reducing out-of-pocket expenditures.

Key Components of MMIY: Ensuring Comprehensive Healthcare

Under the Chief Minister Free Treatment Scheme, residents of Haryana benefit from the following free services:

  1. Free surgeries up to the secondary level, with tertiary-level surgeries subsidized.

  2. Free supply of essential medicines to all patients in OPD/IPD/Emergency.

  3. All indoor services are offered free of cost.

  4. Free diagnostic services, including X-rays, ultrasounds, and ECG.

  5. Free referral transport/ambulance services for emergency and non-emergency cases.

  6. Delivery drop-back and post-natal check-up services for pregnant women.

  7. Free dental treatment for all residents visiting government health institutions and PGIDS, Rohtak.

The positive impact of MMIY extends beyond medical treatment; it fosters a healthier and financially secure community. As Haryana prioritizes the well-being of its citizens, the Mukhymantri Muft Ilaaj Yojana stands as a beacon of accessible and quality healthcare for all.
