In response to viral social media posts claiming that passengers standing in Haryana Roadways buses would not need to purchase tickets, State Home Minister Anil Vij has firmly denied these rumors. "Things keep circulating on social media, but I have no information about any such policy," Vij clarified, putting an end to the spreading misinformation.
The minister also addressed the ongoing pollution controversy, where Delhi's Chief Minister Atishi blamed Haryana for the capital's deteriorating air quality. Vij criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) for their tendency to shift blame, saying, "AAP used to blame Punjab for pollution when they weren't in power there. Now that they govern Punjab, they've conveniently shifted the blame to Haryana. They're simply a party of falsehoods."
In a separate development, Vij took aim at former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda , who had previously criticized the BJP government over MSP payments and fertilizer distribution. Using a Punjabi proverb to mock Hooda's premature confidence, Vij stated, "Hooda began holding official meetings and issuing orders as if he were already Chief Minister, but he clearly doesn't understand the public pulse."
The minister's comments highlight the current political tensions in Haryana , as various parties engage in verbal sparring over environmental issues and administrative matters. The clarification about bus tickets comes as a relief to commuters who might have been misled by the viral social media posts.
