Congress MP Deepender Hooda recently visited Ambala district in Haryana, making several significant statements and promises. His visit included attending a religious event and meeting families of local heroes.

Promise of a New University

During his visit to Sirsagarh in Mulana Assembly constituency, Hooda announced that if Congress comes to power in Haryana, they will establish a university named after Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas. This promise was made at an event celebrating the 21st foundation day of Sant Guru Ravidas Dharm Asthan.

Honoring Local Heroes

Hooda paid tribute to Ambala's soldier Sardar Gurpreet Singh, who was martyred while defending the motherland in Ladakh. He visited the soldier's ancestral village Sherpur to offer condolences to the grieving family.

The MP also visited the home of Sarbajot Singh, who recently won a bronze medal in the 10-meter air pistol mixed team event at the Paris Olympics. Hooda congratulated Sarbajot's family, praising the athlete's performance that brought honor to the country.

Criticism of BJP Government

Hooda didn't hold back in his criticism of the current BJP government in Haryana. He pointed out several issues:

1. Budget Discrimination: He claimed that Haryana received very little money in the Khelo India budget, accusing the central government of discrimination.

2. Unemployment and Drug Issues: Hooda stated that Haryana has the highest unemployment rate in the country and is facing severe drug problems.

3. Administrative Problems: He mentioned ongoing strikes in hospitals and work stoppages in tehsils (administrative units). Political Statements

Hooda asserted that Congress would contest all 90 assembly seats in Haryana alone. He also took a jibe at the BJP and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, saying that in Fatehabad, they were listing works done by Congress.

The Congress MP's visit and statements highlight the intensifying political atmosphere in Haryana as parties prepare for future elections. Hooda's promises and criticisms reflect Congress's strategy to challenge the BJP's governance in the state by focusing on issues like education, employment, and healthcare.
