Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini made a significant appearance in Sirsa on Sunday, participating in a tree-planting event at the Radha Swami Dera in Sikandarpur village. The event was part of the ongoing "One Tree in Mother's Name" campaign, which aims to promote environmental conservation across the state.

During the event, CM Saini, along with Electricity Minister Chaudhary Ranjit Singh Chautala, Minister Aseem Goyal, and former MP Sunita Duggal, planted trees and addressed the gathering. The campaign set an ambitious target of planting around 20,000 trees across various deras in the district.

In his address, CM Saini first extended Guru Purnima greetings, emphasizing the importance of seeking blessings from gurus for progress. He expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the planting of 20,000 trees in Sirsa's Radha Swami Deras.

Highlighting the environmental concerns, Saini stressed the need for increased tree planting to combat rising pollution levels and temperatures. He mentioned that temperatures have reached up to 50 degrees Celsius, urging everyone to take a pledge to plant more trees and reduce deforestation.

The Chief Minister also revealed the state government's ambitious target of planting more than 1.5 crore trees across Haryana. He encouraged people to plant trees during auspicious occasions and family events to contribute to this goal. When questioned about the opposition, particularly the Congress party and Deepender Hooda, CM Saini took a critical stance. He suggested that Deepender Hooda should first account for his father's (former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda) tenure. Saini accused the opposition of spreading falsehoods and named Rahul Gandhi as the mastermind behind what he called a "journey of lies."

Regarding the ongoing Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigations, CM Saini maintained that the agency was working independently. This event not only showcased the government's commitment to environmental causes but also provided a platform for CM Saini to address political issues, blending environmental activism with political commentary in a single public appearance.
