In a major announcement aimed at addressing the employment aspirations of the youth in Haryana, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has declared that the state government will soon fill 50,000 vacant posts across various categories. Additionally, the CM has assured that Group-D jobs will also be made available to the youth through a transparent recruitment process.

Transparent Recruitment Process to Continue

Interacting with the media after administering the oath of office to Himmat Singh, the newly appointed chairman of the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC), CM Saini emphasized the continuation of a transparent recruitment system for government jobs. He stated that the state government had always honored the youth's aspirations and would continue to fill vacant posts without discrimination or favoritism.

"It is a matter of pride that the youth's faith in the functioning of the government has increased as they are getting government jobs without any 'Kharchi-Parchi' (bribery or favoritism), which was prevalent in previous governments," Saini claimed.

Challenging High Court Verdict on Socio-Economic Criteria

Addressing concerns raised by the recent Punjab and Haryana High Court judgment on awarding additional five marks under the socio-economic criteria for Group C and D category posts, the Chief Minister assured that the state government is committed to safeguarding the interests of the candidates. He stated that the government would soon approach the Supreme Court to challenge the verdict and strongly advocate for ensuring justice to the youth.

The socio-economic criteria were introduced to provide employment opportunities to members of poor families who did not have government jobs, Saini explained. He accused Congress leaders of misleading the public with false propaganda on the issue, claiming that they were instigating the youth by suggesting their future was bleak, when in reality, it was the future of the Congress party itself that was in darkness.

New HSSC Chairman Sworn In

Yesterday CM Saini administered the oath of office to Himmat Singh as the new chairman of the HSSC at a swearing-in ceremony held at Haryana Niwas. Before his appointment, Himmat Singh had served as the Additional Advocate General of Haryana.

The Chief Minister congratulated the new chairman and expressed hope that he would discharge his new responsibilities with full dedication and meet the aspirations of the state's youth. He highlighted that during the last nine and a half years, the youth had shown full faith in the transparent and merit-based recruitment process of the state government and its other welfare policies.

With the appointment of the new HSSC chairman and the announcement of a mega job drive, the Haryana government aims to address the employment concerns of the state's youth and reinforce its commitment to providing opportunities based on merit and without discrimination.
