In a blistering attack on the BJP, Congress candidate and Rajya Sabha MP Deepender Hooda accused the ruling party of being anti-constitutional and anti-democratic, alleging that they were raising the '400-paar' slogan to change the Indian Constitution. Addressing poll meetings in various villages of the Beri Assembly segment in Jhajjar district, Hooda warned that if the BJP comes to power again, it would not only put an end to the Constitution but also the reservation given to the poor and Backward Classes.

"If the BJP comes to power this time, it will not only put an end to the Constitution but also the reservation given to the poor and Backward Classes. The Constitution will be saved and the rights of Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes will be saved only if the BJP loses," he claimed.

Hooda reminded the audience that the Constitution made by Dr. Ambedkar was signed by his grandfather, Ranbir Singh, as a member of the Constituent Assembly. "It is our duty to ensure that the Constitution is not affected. We will not allow a single word of the Constitution to be changed," he said, appealing to everyone to come forward to protect the Constitution and democracy by increasing the voting percentage and supporting the Congress in the election.

Highlighting the promises made in the Congress' 'Nyaya Patra,' Hooda said that if the Congress forms the government, it will provide Rs 1 lakh per year to a woman of every poor family under the Mahalakshmi scheme. He also vowed to end the Agnipath scheme of the Army and start permanent recruitment like before, adding that the already recruited Agniveers would be confirmed.

Deepender Hooda accused the BJP government of pursuing anti-people policies, which he claimed had created the highest unemployment in 45 years. "Investments collapsed, and small industries were destroyed. The unemployed youth were forced to run from pillar to post in search of jobs," he stated.

The Congress candidate's remarks come amid a heated campaign trail, where he sought to position the party as the protector of the Constitution and the rights of marginalised communities, while also promising to address issues like unemployment and the Agnipath scheme if voted to power.
