The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) intensified its efforts to woo Ahir voters in the Rohtak parliamentary constituency, particularly in the Kosli Assembly segment, by organising a public rally addressed by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav. The Kosli region, dominated by the Yadav community, played a crucial role in ensuring the victory of BJP candidate Dr. Arvind Sharma in the previous election, where he secured a massive lead of 74,980 votes over Congress nominee Deepender Hooda.

During the rally in Berali village, Yadav launched a scathing attack on the Congress party, accusing them of dividing society along caste and religious lines. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, stating, "India is fast moving towards becoming a world leader under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, hence it is necessary to ensure the victory of the BJP in the Lok Sabha poll so as to keep the momentum going."

Yadav expressed confidence in the BJP's resounding victory, predicting that the party would secure more than 400 Lok Sabha seats. He assured the gathering that if Dr. Arvind Sharma emerges victorious, he would undoubtedly be included in PM Modi's cabinet. Targeting the Congress party's track record in Haryana, Yadav criticised the previous administration led by former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, alleging that it had brought the state to a standstill. He cautioned the voters against making the mistake of supporting the Congress party again.

Former Haryana Education Minister Prof. Ram Bilas Sharma echoed similar sentiments, accusing the Congress of denying the existence of Lord Ram and harbouring anti-Hindu and anti-national policies. "The Congress party wants to grab power by spreading the poison of casteism and divisiveness. They have no concern for the country's development," Sharma stated.

The BJP's efforts to rally support from the Ahir community are crucial, as the Kosli segment has traditionally played a significant role in determining the outcome of the Rohtak parliamentary constituency. In the 2019 elections, Dr. Arvind Sharma secured a total of 1,17,825 votes, while his Congress rival, Deepender Hooda, received 42,845 votes.

This time, Deepender Hooda is making concerted efforts to improve his performance, campaigning extensively in the region and highlighting the development works undertaken during the previous Congress regime in the Kosli area. He addressed public meetings in over 15 villages of the Kosli segment on the same day as Yadav's rally.

The high-stakes battle for the Rohtak parliamentary seat has intensified, with both the BJP and the Congress leaving no stone unturned to woo voters, particularly the influential Ahir community. As the election fever grips the region, the war of words between the two parties is expected to escalate further in the coming days.
