In a heartwarming gesture, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini took a break from his election campaign trail to connect with the locals over a cup of tea. After his much-publicised chai pe charcha with the famous 'Dolly Chai Wala,' who served tea to Microsoft founder Bill Gates, CM Saini continued his tradition of engaging with tea stall owners during his visit to Shahabad (Markanda) in Haryana.
Chai Break
While on his way to Karnal for election campaigning, CM Saini unexpectedly halted near Shahabad, where he spotted a roadside tea stall operated by Ramchandra, a local resident. Ramchandra was at shock when the CM's convoy stopped at his stall. However, upon the CM's request, he prepared a special milk tea, which Saini enjoyed while engaging in a conversation with the tea seller.
Connecting with the People
During the impromptu chai break, CM Saini discussed various central and state government schemes with Ramchandra. He also inquired about Ramchandra's family and their well-being, showcasing his willingness to connect with the common people and understand their concerns.
A Tradition of Chai pe Charcha
This wasn't the first time CM had indulged in a chai pe charcha (discussion over tea) with a tea seller. Earlier, he had enjoyed a cup of tea with Dolly, the famous 'Chai Wala' from Nagpur, who had gained recognition for serving tea to Microsoft founder Bill Gates. During that encounter in Gurugram, Dolly prepared his signature 'NAMO Chai' for the CM, who praised the tea's exceptional taste.
Building Connections
CM Saini's interactions with tea stall owners like Ramchandra and Dolly highlight his efforts to connect with the common people and understand their perspectives. These informal conversations allow him to gather insights into the concerns and aspirations of the local population, potentially shaping his policies and governance approach. The visuals of the CM enjoying tea and engaging in casual conversations have gone viral on social media, portraying a more relatable and approachable image of the leader.
