In a display of grief and resilience, Haryanvi singer Amit Saini Rohitakiya has released a new song following the tragic death of his older son, Mannat. The song, which the singer himself shared on social media, has struck a chord with his fans, who have rallied to offer their condolences.
Around 20 days ago, Mannat, Amit's elder son, passed away in a road accident. The incident has left the singer devastated, and his new song reflects the depth of his sorrow. In the lyrics, Amit expresses that the one who used to make people laugh is now the one who has to weep. He expresses, "My fan is becoming a crematorium," hinting at the loss of his beloved son. Prior to the tragedy, Amit had even composed a song for Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini. However, just a short while later, the news of his son's demise reached him, adding to his grief.
The lyrics of the song are heartbreaking, as Amit speaks of having to take sleeping pills to find rest, and how he had hoped his son would make a mark on the world, only to lose him too soon. The singer mourns, "I had thought you would shake the world, but I had to lose you even before you could gain anything." The outpouring of support for Amit has been overwhelming. On Instagram, where the singer has 1.6 million followers, the song has been viewed by an astonishing 3.8 million people in just two days, with over 3,09,055 likes. On Facebook, where Amit has over 10 lakh followers, the song has received more than 12,700 likes.
The tragic incident occurred on March 16th, when Mannat, a second-grade student, was riding pillion on his father's scooter. As they were travelling on the Jind Road, a reckless pickup truck driver collided with them, causing the scooter to crash. While Amit sustained minor injuries, Mannat suffered a severe head injury and succumbed to his wounds at the hospital.
The loss of his son has undoubtedly left a deep mark on Amit's heart. However, through his music, he has found a way to channel his grief and pay tribute to the memory of his beloved Mannat. The outpouring of support from his fans and the Haryana political leadership, including Chief Minister Nayab Saini, has provided some courage during this difficult time.
