In a strong crackdown, Haryana Police has taken major action against rapper Badshah’s controversial song Tateeree, removing a large number of links and issuing strict warnings to social media users.

According to officials, around 1,588 URLs related to the song were identified and reported. These included 525 links on YouTube, 967 on Instagram, and 96 on Facebook. The cyber wing has ensured that these links are taken down from the respective platforms.

Earlier, Panchkula Police had already removed 857 links, including 154 YouTube videos and 703 Instagram reels. Authorities are now actively monitoring social media to identify users who are still sharing or re-uploading the content.

Police have issued notices to all major platforms, directing them to remove every version of the song — including re-uploads, short videos, and edited clips.

Strict Warning to Content Creators

The police have also issued a clear warning to reel creators and social media users. Anyone found creating or sharing reels, shorts, or videos using the song will face legal action.

Officials said cases will be registered against violators, and their social media accounts may also be blocked or restricted.

The action has been taken over allegations that the song contains objectionable and inappropriate content, particularly targeting women and minors.

Authorities have emphasised that digital platforms will be closely monitored, and strict enforcement will continue to prevent the circulation of such content.
