Haryana Police has intensified its action against controversial content linked to rapper Badshah’s song Tateeree, removing hundreds of links across digital platforms and warning of strict legal consequences for violators. According to official data released by Panchkula Police, a total of 857 links associated with the song have been taken down so far. This includes 154 videos from YouTube and 703 Instagram Reels.

Police officials said the action was carried out in coordination with social media platforms and within the legal framework. Notices have been issued directing platforms to remove all versions of the song, including re-uploads, short videos and edited formats.

Authorities stated that the move was necessary as the song allegedly contains objectionable and derogatory content targeting women and minors.= Ajay Singhal, Director General of Police, said content that disrespects the dignity of women and minors will not be tolerated. He added that digital monitoring has been strengthened to prevent the circulation of such material.

The police have also issued a public warning, stating that anyone found creating or sharing reels, shorts or any digital content featuring the banned song could face strict legal action. This may include blocking of social media accounts and registration of cases against repeat offenders.

Sibas Kabiraj said the crackdown is part of a broader effort to ensure a safer digital environment. The case is currently under investigation following an FIR registered at the Cyber Police Station in Sector 20, Panchkula.

Police teams are actively tracking online activity and identifying individuals and accounts involved in spreading the content.

The action reflects the state government’s firm stance against objectionable digital content and its focus on regulating online platforms to protect public sensitivity.
