The Haryana Government has implemented a significant 4% hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for government employees, pensioners, and family pensioners. This decision, effective from January 1, 2024, aims to provide financial relief to beneficiaries amidst rising costs of living.

An official spokesperson confirmed that employees will receive the increased DA with their March salaries, payable in April. Additionally, arrears for January and February will be disbursed in May, ensuring that beneficiaries receive the full benefit of the revision.

Similarly, pensioners and family pensioners will also benefit from the enhanced Dearness Relief (DR) starting from January 1. They will receive the increased DR along with their March pension/family pension, payable in April. Arrears for the preceding months will be provided in May, ensuring that pensioners also receive the full entitlement.

The decision to increase DA and DR comes as a welcome relief to government employees and pensioners, providing them with additional financial support to cope with the ever-increasing cost of living expenses. This move by the Haryana Government reflects its commitment to the welfare of its employees and pensioners, ensuring that they are adequately supported during challenging economic times.
