CM Khattar Announces Digitization Initiative for All Government Departments

State Government to Establish Digital Record Rooms at Headquarters and District Levels

In a significant move towards digitization, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar declared today the commencement of digitizing data across all government departments in the state. This initiative aims to enhance efficiency and transparency in administrative processes.

During the ongoing Budget session of the Vidhan Sabha, CM Khattar disclosed plans to establish digital record rooms at both the headquarters and district levels. Provision for this endeavor will be included in the upcoming supplementary Budget estimates, if necessary, alongside the Budget for 2024-25.

Highlighting the progress made in this direction, Khattar mentioned that the digitization of records in the Revenue Department, starting from Kaithal district, has been completed successfully. He emphasised the importance of leveraging technology to streamline administrative functions and improve citizen services. 

In addition, Vidhan Sabha Speaker Gian Chand Gupta spearheaded the digitization of the complete records of the Assembly, furthering the vision of e-Vidhan Sabha. Notable dignitaries including Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala, Leader of Opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda, and Deputy Speaker Ranbir Gangwa inaugurated the Digital Legislative Business Module on the Assembly's website, marking a significant milestone in the state's digital transformation journey.
