₹200 Increase Across 13 Categories; Up to ₹14,400 Per Month for Eligible Beneficiaries Chandigarh: In a significant relief measure ahead of the Budget session, the Haryana Government has announced a ₹200 increase in 13 categories of social security pensions, benefiting nearly 30 lakh beneficiaries across the state.
Acting on the directions of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the Social Welfare Department has issued the official notification. Earlier, beneficiaries under nine major categories—including widow pension, Ladli Social Security Pension Scheme and pensions for differently-abled persons—were receiving ₹3,000 per month and now the amount has been increased to ₹3,200 per month.
The revised pension rates will be effective from November 2025, and beneficiaries will receive both the basic and enhanced amounts. Officials have been instructed to release the increased pension within two days and ensure that no pension is withheld pending verification.
Higher Pension for Differently-Abled Persons
Under the special formula applicable to differently-abled beneficiaries, pension amounts have also increased :
40–50% disability: ₹8,000 per month
50–60% disability: ₹11,200 per month
Above 60% disability: ₹14,400 per month
This reflects an increase ranging between ₹500 and ₹900 compared to earlier payouts.
Additional Relief Measures
The government has also enhanced financial assistance for non-school-going differently-abled children from ₹2,400 to ₹2,600 per month.
For orphaned children, assistance has been increased to ₹2,300 per month for a single child and ₹4,600 for two children.
Kashmiri migrant families will now receive ₹1,700 per individual and ₹8,500 per family per month, up from ₹1,500 and ₹7,500 respectively.
This move has come just before the 2026-2027 budget declaration and seems to be strengthen social security coverage and addressing public concerns over pension delays.
