Governor's Assurance Amidst Border Tensions

Against the backdrop of farmers' protests at Haryana's borders, Governor Bandaru Dattatreya reiterated the state government's unwavering dedication to the welfare of farmers. Amidst ongoing tensions with farmers from Punjab seeking passage to Delhi, the Governor emphasised the government's commitment to addressing agricultural concerns and resolving key issues like the SYL canal dispute. 

Government Initiatives for Farmer Welfare

In his address to the Haryana Vidhan Sabha during the opening day of the budget session, Governor Dattatreya outlined various initiatives aimed at supporting farmers. These initiatives include the adoption of e-governance to streamline service delivery, the implementation of schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, and the provision of financial assistance to bajra-producing farmers under the Bhavantar Bharpai Yojana. Additionally, the government has prioritised job creation, improved the sex ratio, and provided social security pensions through the Saman Bhatta scheme.

Focus on Inclusive Development and Achievements

The Governor commended the government for its commitment to inclusive development, transcending caste, region, and religion. He highlighted initiatives in education, health, security, self-reliance, and good governance, emphasising the government's efforts towards holistic progress. Additionally, Governor Dattatreya praised the government's role in India's achievements in space exploration, including the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 and the contribution of Aditya L-1 in studying the sun.

Gratitude for National Milestones

Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for various national milestones, including the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and India's leadership in the G20 Summit, the Governor underscored the significance of these achievements in bolstering national pride and progress. He highlighted the government's commitment to fulfilling the aspirations of the people and advancing the country's position on the global stage.
