Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has launched the E-bus service in Panipat, symbolically taking a ride himself. During the inauguration, he declared free rides for the general public for the initial seven days. Emphasising Panipat's historical significance, Khattar expressed pride in the city's contributions, from the epic battles to initiatives like "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao."

The new electric city bus service has commenced in 8 corporations and Rewari city. Khattar urged public participation in route planning through the department portal. Notably, the government has built 34 bus stands under his leadership.

Addressing corruption, crime, and caste-based politics, the government is actively recruiting 3,500 drivers and conductors for Haryana Roadways, and another 1,500 through the Haryana Kaushal Rojgar Nigam (HKRN). Haryana Roadways holds a unique position, covering 11 lakh passengers travelling 11 lakh kilometres daily.

The initial bus routes have started between the bus stand and toll plaza in Panipat. Fares range from INR 10 to INR 50 for trips up to 30 kilometres. Currently, two buses are operational, with 45 more expected in February. Haryana Roadways buses play a crucial role in daily transportation, connecting different districts in the state.

CM Khattar highlighted the government's commitment to infrastructure development, with the approval of the Dabwali to Panipat highway by the central government. He also emphasised the removal of all level crossings in the future, connectivity projects like the RRTS connecting Sarai Kale Khan to Panipat, and the development of the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor along with the Hisar-Hansi rail line. The state is witnessing extensive road network enhancements, elevated railway tracks, and active participation in GST collections on a national scale.

The holistic approach indicates the government's focus on improving connectivity, public transport, and infrastructure, reflecting a commitment to overall development in Haryana.
