Haryana Governor Unfurls Tricolor on Republic Day

In Panipat, on the 75th Republic Day, Governor Bandaru Dattatreya unfurled the national flag, paying tribute to martyrs at the memorial. Later, at Shivaji Stadium, he presided over the parade, expressing joy at Haryanvi’s' increased participation in the national army. During the Republic Day ceremony, 22 individuals from various fields were honoured by the Governor. Recognition extended to achievers in women and child development, roadways, health, education, sugar mills, and the forest department.

The event featured displays by teams showcasing yoga, and a spectacular performance by the Dog Squad drew astonishment. Governor Dattatreya addressed the audience, providing insights into central and state government initiatives for public welfare. He lauded Haryanvi contributions to the armed forces and expressed pride in the state's progress.

Honoured Individuals:

1. Kumari Anshu, daughter of Samundar Singh: Won a bronze medal in Judo at the Khelo India Youth Games 2023-24 in Chennai.
2. Dr. Mona, from Pratistha Foundation: Recognized for environmental conservation efforts.
3. Pratima Sharma, Principal, Government School GT Road: Acknowledged for increasing student enrolment annually.
4. Shivani Kandola, Principal, SDVM City: Represented Haryana Principals in the Commercial Education Representative Body.
5. Varsha Arya, from Shahpur: Entered the Golden Book of World Records for excellence in yoga.
6. Monica Bathla, Helping Youth Club President: Commended for significant contributions to social work. 
7. Dr. Sukhram Pal, MO, CHC Dadlana: Recognized for exemplary work in the medical field.
8. Dr. Abhinav Arora, Prime Hospital: Acknowledged for notable contributions to healthcare.
9. Daljit Kumar: Assistant Professor, Government College Panipat: Recognized for establishing a Nano Herbal Garden.
10. Vijay Kumar, JBT, Government School Paseena Kalan: Acknowledged for outstanding work in the education sector.

The Governor also commended the efforts of ASI Balinder for resolving gang rape and loot cases, SI Ajay for addressing cybercrime, and SI Mahipal for solving robbery cases.

Security measures were stringent, with 760 police personnel deployed by SP Ajit Singh Shekhawat to manage traffic and ensure safety. The roads around the stadium were closed from morning until 12:30 PM for the convenience of the guests arriving for the event.
