In a major relief for job aspirants, the Haryana government has announced free travel in Haryana Roadways buses for candidates appearing in examinations conducted by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC).

The decision covers candidates appearing for written examinations as well as Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Screening Test (PST). Under the new order, eligible candidates will be able to travel to and from their examination centres without paying any bus fare.

The order was issued by the Chief Secretary's Office on June 13 and was later shared by HSSC Chairman Himmat Singh through his official X account.

As per the government's decision, candidates will only need to show their HSSC admit card along with a valid identity proof while travelling on Haryana Roadways buses. The admit card will serve as the basis for availing the free travel facility.

The move is expected to reduce the financial burden on thousands of candidates, especially those travelling long distances from rural areas to examination centres across the state.

The Haryana government has introduced the facility to ensure easier access to recruitment examinations and encourage greater participation by removing transportation-related hurdles for aspirants.

Candidates have been advised to carry both their original admit card and a valid photo ID while travelling to avoid any inconvenience during the journey.
