In a major push to improve youth employment, the Haryana government is set to launch a digital portal to connect ITI-trained youth directly with industries. The announcement was made during a review meeting of the Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship Department chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini.

Direct Link Between Youth and Industry

Under the new system, complete data of students passing out from ITIs will be uploaded on a digital platform. This will allow industries to directly access information about skilled candidates and offer them employment opportunities without intermediaries.

Job Fairs in Every District

The government has also decided to conduct large-scale job fairs across all the districts. A structured calendar will be released for this purpose, ensuring the conduct of recruitment drives on a regular basis.

Tracking Employment Outcomes

In another significant move, CM Saini has asked the officials to track the ITI graduates and the interns. The objective of taking such an initiative is to ensure accountability and assess the actual impact of the skill development programs.

Focus on Skills, AI & Modern Training

The government has also planned to upgrade the ITI infrastructure by introducing courses on the latest technologies and Artificial Intelligence, replacing outdated machinery, training the instructors on modern skills, and strengthening the association with the industry. Minister Gaurav Gautam was also present in the meeting where the infrastructure, machinery, and training were discussed.

Priority Under Saksham Yojana

The CM also emphasised that youth trained under the Saksham Yojana will be given priority in job placements and contract-based work opportunities. He stressed that along with education, practical skills are essential to make youth employable in a rapidly evolving job market.
