“I Killed My Wife…”: Kaithal Husband’s Shocking Confession After Strangling Her

Sat beside wife’s body all night, planned suicide but couldn’t go through with it

Accused Arun killed his wife Shalu.

A chilling murder case has come to light from Kaithal, where a man allegedly strangled his wife to death and later made shocking revelations during police interrogation.

The accused, identified as Arun, killed his wife Shalu by strangling her with her dupatta. During questioning, he told police that he had also planned to end his own life after the murder and had even written a suicide note, but failed to gather the courage.

According to police, Arun spent the entire night sitting next to his wife’s body, while their two young children slept nearby on the bed, unaware of what had happened.

The next morning, around 11 am, he reportedly informed a relative. He approached his sister-in-law, who lives nearby, and told her, “I have killed my wife, you handle things now,” before fleeing the house.

Before escaping, he also broke his wife’s mobile phone and called his mother-in-law to confess the crime. During the call, he reportedly said, “Your daughter is no more, I killed her,” which led to an argument.

Police later arrested the accused near a railway crossing in the city. During interrogation, Arun revealed that he was upset over his wife frequently visiting her parental home in Bathinda. He also expressed suspicion over her character, which police say was one of the key motives behind the crime.

In his suicide note, he claimed he loved his wife but was mentally disturbed due to ongoing disputes. He also took responsibility for the incident but could not carry out his plan to end his life.

Police officials confirmed that the accused had a prior criminal record and was earlier involved in a theft case. After the post-mortem, Shalu’s family took her body to Bathinda for last rites. They have also taken custody of the couple’s two children, aged five and three. The police have launched a detailed investigation into the case.
