A 25-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped and thrown out of a moving vehicle in Faridabad after two men offered her a lift while she was waiting for an auto-rickshaw late at night. The incident left the victim with serious head injuries, and she is currently undergoing treatment in hospital.

According to Faridabad Police, an FIR has been registered at the Kotwali police station on the statement of the victim’s family, as the woman remains unfit to record her own statement.

As per the complaint filed by the victim’s sister, the woman had been staying at her parental home following a dispute with her husband. On Monday evening, after an argument with her mother, she went to visit a friend in Sector 23. While returning late at night, she took an auto-rickshaw up to NIT-2 Chowk and then walked towards Metro Chowk, where she waited for another auto to Kalyanpuri around midnight.

At Metro Chowk, two men travelling in a van allegedly offered her a lift. Trusting them, she got into the vehicle. However, instead of taking her towards Kalyanpuri, the accused drove onto the Gurugram Road, where they allegedly raped her inside the moving van.

The victim was reportedly driven around for several hours before being pushed out of the vehicle near Raja Chowk around 3 am. The fall caused severe head injuries. Despite her condition, she managed to contact her sister, who reached the spot and rushed her to Badshah Khan Hospital for treatment.

Following an investigation, the crime branch team of Sector-48 arrested two accused, who are natives of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, currently residing in Faridabad. The police have also recovered the Maruti Eeco van used in the crime.

A senior police officer said the accused are being interrogated, and further investigation is underway to establish the sequence of events and collect additional evidence. Police officials reiterated that strict action would be taken against those responsible.
