Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Tuesday inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development projects worth ₹113.64 crore in Gurugram, describing the city as not only the pride of Haryana but also a key engine of the country’s economic progress.
Addressing the Viksit Gurugram Maharally, the Chief Minister said Gurugram’s growth reflects Haryana’s contribution to India’s overall development trajectory. He highlighted the government’s performance, stating that 54 out of the 217 promises made in the Assembly election manifesto had been fulfilled within one year, while work on the remaining commitments was underway.
Saini said that during the 11-year tenure of the present government, development works worth ₹1,909 crore have been carried out in the Gurugram Assembly constituency alone. He added that of the 67 development announcements made for the constituency, 39 had been completed, while work on 11 projects was currently in progress.
The Chief Minister stressed that Gurugram remains an integral part of the investment, employment, and innovation ecosystem and thus the backbone of the urban economy in Haryana. The Chief Minister reiterated the commitment to the development of the infrastructure and the overall growth of the city.
The projects launched and inaugurated are intended to improve the infrastructure of the cities as well as the public services, aligning with the vision of “Viksit Haryana” and the overall vision of “Viksit Bharat” of the nation.
