₹1 Crore Marwari Horse Pratap Roop

A rare and majestic Marwari horse valued at nearly ₹1 crore has become the biggest attraction at the Pihowa cattle fair in Kurukshetra, Haryana. Brought from Sangrur district of Punjab, the stallion named Pratap Roop has drawn massive public attention for its striking appearance, disciplined training, and premium upkeep.

Owned by Sangrur sarpanch Harpreet Singh and his father Nirbhay Singh, Pratap Roop is completely white from head to toe, a feature that significantly enhances its value. The horse is just 28 months old and stands tall at 67 inches, an impressive height for its breed. According to the owners, offers touching ₹1 crore have already been made, but the family has no immediate plans to sell.

Visitors at the fair are lining up to click photographs with the horse, while breeders and horse enthusiasts openly express amazement at its price and physical traits. Harpreet Singh explains that the horse’s value lies in the purity of its Marwari lineage, exceptional height, flawless colour, and performance ability. Remarkably, Pratap Roop can cover up to 40 feet in just one second.

The horse follows a carefully planned three-time daily diet. In the morning, it is fed two to three kilograms of black gram. During the day, it is allowed to graze freely on the farm. In the evening, it is given milk; during winters, almonds are boiled in the milk before feeding. Boiled barley is also part of its routine diet, while apples are added twice a week during summer.

Special care is central to Pratap Roop’s routine. Three dedicated workers are employed solely for its service. The horse is bathed daily and given an oil massage that lasts nearly an hour. Unlike other horses on the farm, Pratap Roop is kept inside the house for better protection and monitoring.

The stallion recently participated in its first-ever competition at the PDFA cattle fair in Asmanpur village, Pihowa, where it secured first position among more than 20 horses from Haryana and Punjab.

While the family has entered horse trading professionally, they maintain that Pratap Roop will only be sold if the buyer can ensure the same level of care and respect.
