Father and Daughter Die in Attempted Family Suicide in Faridabad, Two Children Survive

A horrifying incident shook Nekpur village in the Dhauj police area on Friday morning when Karmveer (32) attempted suicide along with his three daughters. The attempt resulted in the death of Karmveer and his eldest daughter Chhavi (10), while the younger daughters Nishu (8) and Srishti (6) were found alive in critical condition and were immediately admitted to a hospital, where their condition is now stable.

According to reports, the family used a livestock pen outside their home for sleeping. Early Friday morning, Karmveer allegedly hanged his daughters first and then attempted to hang himself. A family member discovered them and alerted neighbors, who immediately contacted the police.

The Dhauj police and forensic team arrived at the scene and confirmed that two of the children were alive. The bodies of Karmveer and Chhavi were sent for post-mortem at the civil hospital.

Shockingly, authorities revealed that Karmveer had recorded a video before the suicide attempt, in which he accused his wife Chanchal, mother-in-law Babita, sisters-in-law Jyoti and Pooja, and paternal aunt Poonam of serious misconduct. He alleged that they were involved in prostitution and had repeatedly tried to harm him and his wife. He requested police to investigate the claims thoroughly by checking mobile phones and digital evidence.

Villagers stated that Karmveer had been involved in a family dispute with his wife and in-laws for over a year, which led the couple to live separately. Recent arguments, reportedly seven days ago, had left Karmveer distressed. In addition to managing a dairy company, he was in charge of raising and educating his kids.
