In a major breakthrough, Palwal Police have arrested two men accused of spying for Pakistan. The accused, identified as YouTuber Wasim Akram from Kot and Taufiq from Aali Mev, were allegedly passing on sensitive information and facilitating financial support to Pakistan’s ISI network.

According to investigators, the duo collected money from people under the pretext of arranging Pakistani visas. A portion of this money was handed over to a Pakistan Embassy officer named Danish, who then distributed the funds to ISI agents visiting India under the guise of tourism. These funds were used to expand and sustain their network in India.

Crime Branch officials revealed that both Wasim and Taufiq had previously traveled to Pakistan and maintained close ties with the spy network. Their social media accounts were also reportedly used for suspicious activities.

While Taufiq was sent to jail after a five-day police remand, Wasim Akram has been placed on a two-day police remand following a court order. His custody is expected to yield further leads.

Officials suspect that this spy network was not limited to money extortion and intelligence leaks but also aimed at deepening ISI’s foothold in India. Several other individuals remain under the scanner of police and central agencies, and more arrests are likely in the coming days.

Providing details, Palwal CIA in-charge Deepak Gulia confirmed that further interrogation is underway to uncover the full extent of the espionage ring.
