14-Year-Old Accused of Sexual Assault on 6-Year-Old Girl in Ballabhgarh

A disturbing case of sexual child abuse has emerged in a village of Ballabhgarh area of Faridabad. A 14 year-old boy has been accused of sexually assaulting a 6 year-old girl. The case has been registered under Section-6 of the POCSO Act at Ballabhgarh Women's Police Station. 

Details of the Incident

According to the complaint filed by the child's mother, the incident occurred on September 23 when she had stepped out of the house for some work. The accused, a 14-year-old neighbor, allegedly entered their home and committed the crime when the girl was alone.

The mother discovered her daughter in a distressed state upon returning home. She immediately informed her husband, who works at a private company, and rushed the child to a hospital for medical treatment.

Police Investigation

The child informed her mother that the neighboring boy had entered their house and committed the assault. Following this revelation, the family immediately contacted the police.

A police team arrived at the hospital after being notified about the incident. On Wednesday, the Ballabhgarh Women's Police Station registered an FIR and initiated a formal investigation into the matter.

Case Registered Under POCSO Act

Under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, which establishes a stringent legal framework for dealing with crimes against minors, the case has been registered. To safeguard the interests of the child victim, the Act guarantees special protocols for the investigation and trial of such cases. The event brings to light persistent worries about child safety and the necessity of community watchfulness to shield at-risk kids from these kinds of crimes.
