The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has officially released the notification for the Common Eligibility Test (CET) 2025, bringing relief to thousands of job seekers who have been waiting for government recruitment opportunities.
Online applications for the one-time registration will begin tomorrow, May 28, and continue until June 12. Candidates will have until June 14, 6 PM, to complete their fee payment process.
Chief Minister Nayab Saini took to social media to announce this development, describing it as a "golden employment opportunity" for the state's youth. "Our government works on the principles of 'no parchi, no kharchi' and follows Mission Merit with complete transparency," Saini stated, emphasizing merit-based recruitment.
The CET exam will be conducted for 100 marks with a duration of 1 hour 45 minutes. However, the exact examination date is yet to be announced by the commission.
This recruitment drive holds special significance as no CET examination has been conducted in the past three years, leaving many young aspirants without opportunities for government jobs. According to state estimates, approximately 31 lakh youth are eligible to appear for the CET examination.
For Group C positions, candidates must have passed 12th standard from a recognized board along with other specified qualifications. Group D applicants need 10th standard completion with Hindi or Sanskrit studies up to matriculation level.
The exam syllabus comprises 75% questions from general knowledge, reasoning, mathematical ability, English, Hindi, and computer knowledge (for Group C), while 25% will focus on Haryana's history, current affairs, literature, geography, environment, and culture.
All Group C and D recruitments in Haryana are conducted through this CET system, making it a crucial gateway for government employment in the state.
