Authorities in Haryana's Hansi district have detained 39 Bangladeshi nationals for illegally residing and working in India without proper documentation. The group, consisting of 14 men, 11 women, and 14 children, was discovered working at a brick kiln located on Tosham Road in Hisar district.

Preliminary investigations have confirmed that these individuals illegally crossed the India-Bangladesh border. Hansi Superintendent of Police Amit Yashvardhan stated, "Legal procedures are being followed in the matter and further action will be taken after completing all documentation and related formalities." The detainees currently remain in police custody.

The arrests came following a targeted survey based on confidential intelligence information. Police sources revealed that security agencies have joined the investigation, which remains ongoing. Authorities are compiling all available documentation before transferring the group to a designated camp in Delhi once legal processes are completed.

The brick kiln owner, where the group had been working for approximately one month, told reporters that some families possessed Aadhaar cards allegedly issued in West Bengal. He claimed to have brought the workers from Rajasthan, with additional families joining just days before the police operation.

This detention is part of a larger verification initiative across the region. Police and intelligence sources confirmed that authorities have launched a comprehensive drive to identify illegal Pakistani or Bangladeshi nationals residing in the area. Just last month, a 15-member Pakistani-origin family staying in Balsamand village of Hisar was relocated to a Delhi camp following similar verification procedures.

In the neighboring district Mahendergarh also 14 illegal Bangladeshi migrants were recently apprehended. Reports indicate these individuals were found in possession of fraudulent Aadhaar cards, highlighting growing concerns about document forgery among illegal immigrants.
