
Haryana has secured the fourth position in gross GST collection nationwide, recording ₹14,057 crore in April 2025. This milestone comes as India registered its highest monthly GST collection of ₹2.37 lakh crore during the same period.
Sharing this information today in Chandigarh, Chief Minister Nayab Singh announced that the state has recorded a 15.70% increase in SGST collection in April 2025. Nayab Singh Saini, who also holds the charge of the Excise and Taxation Department, stated that Haryana, which ranked fifth during the financial year 2024-25, has now surpassed Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh to claim the fourth position in April 2025.
Haryana's State GST (SGST) collection reached ₹2,492.43 crore in April 2025 which is 15.70% higher as compared to the ₹2,154.13 crore collected in April 2024. The rise of 15.70 % in GST collection showcase Haryana 's consistent economic performance and transparent and accountable tax administration.
The Chief Minister gave credit to the state's transparent and technology driven governance which helped in enhancing tax complains and widening the tax base. He said that this surge in GST revenue not only strengthens Haryana's financial position but also highlights its significant role in supporting the national economy.
"This record-breaking GST collection is proof of the strength of the Indian economy and Haryana's significant contribution to national revenue despite global economic challenges," the Chief Minister remarked.
According to the latest figures released, the top six states in gross GST collection for April 2025 are Maharashtra (₹41,645 crore), Karnataka (₹17,815 crore), Gujarat (₹14,970 crore), Haryana (₹14,057 crore), Tamil Nadu (₹13,831 crore), and Uttar Pradesh (₹13,600 crore).
