Attention Jind residents! Starting tonight, the district administration has implemented Section 163 BNS, prohibiting the use of DJs and loudspeakers after 10 PM. Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kumar announced these restrictions during a meeting with community center operators, banquet hall owners, and DJ operators at the Deputy Commissioner's office.

The SP emphasized that noise from DJs and loudspeakers, especially in residential areas, causes significant disturbance to students studying, the elderly, and those who are ill. Violators will face legal action under the new regulations, which include:

  • Complete ban on DJs and loudspeakers after 10 PM
  • Equipment will be confiscated if found operating after hours
  • Banquet hall owners must install notice boards stating the rules
  • Operators must maintain approved volume levels even during permitted hours

"High noise levels not only disrupt peace but also have harmful health effects including increased blood pressure and hearing impairment," stated SP Kumar. The police have issued strict directives to ensure compliance, and citizens are encouraged to report violations.

Banquet hall owners have additional responsibilities, including clearly displaying rules about weapons prohibition and informing clients about noise restrictions during bookings. Both hall operators and event organizers will face legal consequences for non-compliance.
