Haryana government has announced plans for a massive Industrial Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) in approximately 3,000 acres near the Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar with an investment of Rs 4,680 crore.
The project will be executed through a collaborative effort between the Haryana government and the National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC). This decision emerged from a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini in Chandigarh.
"This manufacturing hub will be instrumental in realizing our vision of a developed Haryana," said Chief Minister Saini during the announcement. "The strategic location next to Maharaja Agrasen Airport creates a perfect ecosystem for industrial growth and international connectivity."
The development will occur in two phases and is projected to attract investments of approximately Rs 32,000 crore while creating more than 10,000 employment opportunities. Officials confirmed that the IMC will have comprehensive infrastructure including advanced road networks, water treatment facilities, solid waste management systems, and other modern amenities essential for industrial operations.
This Hisar project represents the centerpiece of the broader Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor initiative, under which industrial townships will be established across six cities in seven states. According to officials present at the meeting, the Hisar IMC stands as the most extensive development within this national industrial framework.
The Memorandum of Understanding between the NICDC and Haryana government will be formalized shortly. Chief Minister Saini has instructed officials to fasten the completion of all procedural requirements.
The strategic allocation of land underscores the project's scope—out of 7,200 acres identified in the Hisar region, approximately 4,212 acres encompass the existing Maharaja Agrasen Airport, while the remaining 2,988 acres will host the industrial cluster. This configuration is designed to maximize logistical efficiency for manufacturing operations.
Complementing this development, the meeting also revealed plans for an Integrated Multi-Modal Logistics Hub on approximately 886 acres in Haryana's Nangal Chaudhary area, part of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor being developed by NICDC. This positions Haryana at the intersection of two major national industrial corridors, potentially transforming the state's economic landscape.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the state government has committed to establishing ten Industrial Model Townships across Haryana to further stimulate industrial growth, with relevant officials already directed to advance these initiatives.
"We are actively seeking investment from both domestic and international companies," added Saini. "This project represents not just infrastructure development, but a transformation of Haryana's industrial capability and economic future."
