
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Friday visited the under-construction Gurugram Global City site. Nayab Saini reviewed the progress of the site with officials and Cabinet Minister Rao Narbir in presence. Nayab Saini also invited the investors to invest in the Gurugram Global city while presenting it as a profitable investment for future.
Saini assured investors of providing an optimal environment, facilities, and resources for investment in Global City.
Speaking during a press conference, CM Nayab Saini revealed that the Gurugram Global City, being developed on 1003 acres, will have its first phase developed on 587 acres. This phase has a budget of Rs 940 crore. The Global City is expected to attract investments worth Rs one lakh crore and will directly provide employment to 5 lakh people. The CM promised that investors would face no difficulties, with NOCs (No Objection Certificates) being issued within 2 weeks (14 days). If any objections arise in a project, the NOC will be issued within a maximum of 30 days.
Major groups including Lodha, DLF, Adani, Hero, Signature Eldeco, and JLL participated in the meeting with the CM. During the session, suggestions were sought from investors regarding creating a better environment for investment in Global City. The government will consider all suggestions received from various stakeholders.
Phase One Completion Expected by 2026
Gurugram Global City is being developed on 1003 acres along the Dwarka Expressway, spanning sectors 36B, 37A, and 37B. The first phase encompasses 587 acres, with work estimated to be completed by January 2026.
Development of First Phase on 587 Acres
Gurugram Global City is being developed according to international standards for facilities and resources. HSIIDC (Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation) is responsible for its development and monitoring. The first phase, covering 587 acres, has a proposed development cost of Rs 940 crore. This phase includes construction of roads, drainage systems, power supply, and an 18-kilometer tunnel. The construction is targeted for completion by 2026, with officials claiming that more than 70 percent of the work has already been completed.
Eco-Friendly Global City
Gurugram Global City is being developed as an environmentally friendly urban space. Greenery will be developed on 125 acres to ensure the city's temperature remains lower than Gurugram's. Special attention will be given to planting trees that help maintain a cooler atmosphere. For water conservation, an 18-acre water reservoir will be developed to maintain a 7-day water backup. The city will have efficient water and waste management systems. It will feature international facilities similar to cities like Dubai and Singapore.
Single or Multiple Players Can Invest
CM Nayab Singh Saini stated that Global City Gurugram will have residential, commercial, and mixed-use land. The complex will also include open spaces. The city will offer educational, health, and other facilities. Both single players and multiple players can invest in the city.

When asked about allegations by Abhay Chautala regarding irregularities in land investment near Hisar airport, CM Nayab Singh Saini responded that the PM will inaugurate the airport on Ambedkar Jayanti. He added that if anyone has committed irregularities, it will be investigated, as the government is working on a zero-tolerance policy regarding corruption cases.
