Haryana's regional air connectivity has received a significant boost with the announcement of flight from Hisar Airport to Ayodhya and Delhi. The much-anticipated service, set to commence on April 14, will reduce travel time while offering competitive fares that make air travel more accessible to residents of the region.

According to official sources, the fare from Hisar to Ayodhya has been fixed at ₹3,393, while the return journey from Ayodhya to Hisar will cost ₹3,730. For those traveling between Hisar and Delhi, the fare will be ₹1,300. Each passenger will be allowed to carry up to 15 kilograms of luggage as part of the standard fare, with additional charges applicable for excess baggage.

The inaugural flight to Ayodhya will be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 14, marking a significant milestone for Haryana's aviation infrastructure. The service will operate twice a week, on Fridays and Sundays, providing a convenient connection to the holy city.

The new air route offers substantial time savings for travelers. Currently, the journey from Hisar to Ayodhya by car takes approximately 12 hours. Once flights begin, passengers will be able to complete the same journey in just 2 hours, saving nearly 10 hours of travel time. Moreover, the flight option is estimated to cost about one-third of what travelers would spend on a road trip.

When ticket sales launched on Friday evening around 8:30 PM, the response was overwhelming. Within just two hours, by 10:30 PM, all seats for the inaugural flights were sold out. Bookings for subsequent flights on April 18 are now open, with reservations available through the Alliance Air Aviation website.

The flight schedule reveals that the aircraft will depart Hisar for Ayodhya at 10:40 AM and arrive at its destination by 12:40 PM. The incoming flight will first arrive from Delhi before continuing to Ayodhya. Currently, the airport lacks night landing facilities, so all operations will be restricted to daylight hours, with no flights permitted to land after 6:30 PM.

A successful trial run was conducted on March 28, when an Alliance Air Aviation Limited ATR aircraft with approximately 70 seats landed at Hisar Airport. The aircraft was welcomed with a water salute from fire brigade vehicles on the runway. After circling the airspace and spending about two hours at the airport, the aircraft returned to Delhi.

Security at the airport will be handled by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), replacing the current arrangement where 300 personnel from Haryana Police's Third Battalion provide security. In preparation for flight operations, wildlife officials have successfully removed nilgai (blue bulls), jackals, wild boars, and stray dogs from the airport premises, relocating them to nearby forest areas after a two-day operation.

Looking ahead, officials have indicated plans to expand services to include flights to Jammu, Jaipur, and Ahmedabad, further enhancing Haryana's air connectivity network.
