In promising news for Haryana residents, Ambala Cantonment will soon join the ranks of major metropolitan cities with the introduction of open/double decker buses. This development was announced by Cabinet Minister Anil Vij himself.
Haryana's Energy, Transport and Labor Minister Anil Vij stated, "A city progresses when people from outside come to see it." He revealed plans to launch open/double decker buses in Ambala Cantonment similar to those in major domestic and international metropolitan cities.
Tourist Route Planned
According to the minister, these buses will take tourists on a scenic journey through the city's notable landmarks. The planned route will cover the Martyrs' Memorial, Science Center, Bank Square, and Rani Ka Talab before concluding at Subhash Park.
"This will provide people with a better opportunity to appreciate the beauty of the city," Vij explained, highlighting the tourism-focused approach behind this initiative.
Enhancing Subhash Park Attractions
The minister noted that Subhash Park has become a center of attraction not just in Ambala but throughout Haryana, with visitor numbers steadily increasing.
Vij instructed committee members and officials to introduce additional entertainment options for children at the park, including toy train rides and hot air balloon facilities. He directed municipal council officials to implement these amenities as quickly as possible.
"Once these facilities are operational, they will further enhance entertainment options for children and visitors to the park," the minister added.
