In response to a complaint filed on the CM Window portal regarding the delayed issuance of allotment letters for a designated plot, Haryana's Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar, has taken substantial action. The Chief Minister promptly addressed the issue by suspending Abhay Singh, the Executive Officer of the Urban Local Body in Bhiwani.

The Grievance:

Shankar, a resident of Ashok Colony in Bhiwani, lodged a complaint on the CM Window portal, revealing that despite purchasing a plot from the Bhiwani Municipal Council under the 1985 policy, he had not received the allotment letter. Shankar had already paid three-fourths of the plot's cost and the security deposit, yet the Municipal Council had not issued the allotment letter, causing significant distress.

Negligence and Reminders:

Despite three reminders sent on May 12, 2022, August 4, 2022, November 17, 2022, and October 5, 2023, the concerned department failed to take any action or provide an update on the pending allotment. As the Executive Officer of the Municipal Council, Abhay Singh's administrative oversight in addressing this matter led to his immediate suspension by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

Chief Minister's Directive:

Expressing his concern over the delayed action, Chief Minister Khattar has directed the Urban Local Body Department's Secretary to conduct a thorough investigation into the case. Additionally, he has emphasised the need for swift administrative measures and instructed the concerned officials to submit a detailed report on the matter promptly.

Ongoing Vigilance and Public Service:

The Chief Minister's Office, along with OSD Bhupeshwar Dayal, reiterated that not only do they take complaints from the CM Window portal seriously, but they also ensure prompt action on reports from other sources. Officials have been reminded to uphold their responsibilities diligently, with strict consequences for any delays or negligence in addressing public grievances.

Conclusion:

The suspension of the Bhiwani Urban Local Body's Executive Officer reflects the Haryana government's commitment to ensuring accountability and efficient public service. Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar's directive underscores the importance of timely resolution of citizen complaints, reinforcing the government's dedication to responsive governance.
