The Haryana government is soon launching the Lado Lakshmi Yojana, a financial assistance program designed to support women living below the poverty line. Under this scheme, eligible women will receive Rs 2100 monthly directly into their bank accounts.
Although the official notification for the Lado Lakshmi Yojana hasn't been released yet, women who wish to benefit from this scheme should complete several important tasks beforehand to avoid delays when applications open.
Register on the Antyodaya Portal
The first essential step is to register on the Haryana government's Antyodaya Portal. If you haven't already registered, do so immediately when possible. Visit the official portal and click on "New User? Registration Here." You'll need to enter your name, email ID, mobile number, and create a new password.
Obtain a BPL Card
To qualify for the Lado Lakshmi Yojana, you must belong to the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category. If your family's annual income is less than Rs 1,80,000 and you're a permanent resident of Haryana, you fall under this category. Without a BPL card, you cannot apply for the scheme.
To register for a BPL card, log in to the Antyodaya Saral Portal using your user ID and password. Complete all required information in the form and submit it. After the verification process is complete, your BPL card will be issued.
Get a Family ID Card
The Parivar Pehchan Patra (Family ID) is mandatory for accessing any government service or scheme in Haryana. If you don't have one yet, visit your nearest Common Service Center (CSC), Saral Kendra, or PPP operator to get it made. Remember to bring your Aadhaar card and Haryana residency certificate.
Link Bank Account with Aadhaar
The Rs 2100 benefit under the Lado Lakshmi Yojana will be transferred directly to eligible women's bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). If the eligible woman's bank account is not linked to her Aadhaar card, she won't receive the money. Visit your nearest bank to ensure your bank account is linked to your Aadhaar card. The Lado Lakshmi Yojana is specifically designed for women's empowerment, and completing these four steps will ensure you're ready to apply as soon as the scheme officially launches.
