A shocking case of murder has emerged from Tihad Malik village in Sonipat district where a Scheduled Caste youth was allegedly beaten with sticks and forced to consume poison, leading to his death during treatment.

According to a complaint filed at Mohana police station, Savitri, the victim's mother, stated that her son Kuldeep (32) ran a fast food cart in the village. She has accused a local family of luring her son to their home where they brutally assaulted him.

"My son operated a small fast food cart in our village. Ravinder's family called him to their house due to some old rivalry," Savitri told the police. "Once there, they mercilessly beat him with sticks and forced him to drink poison, which caused his condition to deteriorate rapidly."

The victim was initially admitted to a local hospital but had to be referred to PGI Rohtak as his condition worsened. Despite medical efforts, Kuldeep succumbed during treatment at the specialized facility.

Based on Savitri's statement, police have named Ravinder, his wife, his brother Sonu, and his father in the case. Authorities have registered a case including charges of murder, assault, and violations under the SC/ST Act.

Police officials have begun their investigation into what appears to be a case motivated by personal enmity. The accused family members are currently being sought for questioning as the community reels from this brutal incident.
