Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Agroha in Haryana's Hisar district on Monday, March 31, where he will unveil a statue of Maharaja Agrasen at the Agroha Medical College. The ceremony holds special significance as it falls on the death anniversary of the medical college's founder and former minister Om Prakash Jindal.
Officials Review Preparations
Senior administrative and police officials have conducted a comprehensive inspection of the venue to ensure all arrangements are in place for the high-profile visit. Divisional Commissioner A. Srinivas, ADGP Dr. M. Ravi Kiran, Additional Deputy Commissioner C. Jaya Shraddha, and Superintendent of Police Shashank Kumar Sawan visited the site to review preparations.
During the inspection, the Divisional Commissioner issued necessary instructions regarding the Home Minister's route plan and accommodation arrangements. The ADGP reviewed security measures, inspecting the entry and exit points at the event venue, and directed officials to strengthen security protocols.
Comprehensive Planning Underway
Additional Deputy Commissioner informed that the district administration and police department are fully alert and vigilant regarding the event. "A detailed plan has been prepared for all arrangements," she stated.
Other Dignitaries Expected
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and Health Minister Aarti Rao are also expected to attend the event, adding to its prominence. The medical college administration is hopeful of receiving new benefits from the Home Minister during his visit.
The college administration has reportedly been making efforts for the establishment of a cancer hospital at the site for a long time, and may use this opportunity to advance that proposal.
The unveiling of Maharaja Agrasen's statue is expected to be a significant cultural event for the region, honoring the legendary king revered as the founder of the Agrawal community.
