Residents of Haryana have received good news with the announcement that a new National Highway will soon be completed in the state. This new highway will run from GT Road through Sonipat and Gohana to Jind, significantly improving connectivity between these cities.
According to reports, the highway construction project comes with an estimated cost of Rs 1,380 crore. Construction is progressing at a steady pace, with the Gohana to Jind section already completed. The remaining section between Sonipat and Gohana is expected to be finished this month (March).
Travel Time to be Significantly Reduced
Once fully operational in April, the highway will drastically cut travel time between Sonipat and Jind to just 1 hour and 15 minutes. This represents a substantial reduction in travel time for commuters and transporters traveling between these cities.
Remaining Work
The primary remaining task is to place girders over the railway line between Sonipat and Jind, after which bridge construction will commence. The highway, designated as NH-352A, will be connected to the Delhi-Katra Expressway near Isapur Kheri village, making the route from Jind to Delhi much more accessible.
This infrastructure development project is expected to boost economic activity in the region by improving transportation efficiency and connectivity between the industrial and agricultural centers of Haryana.
