Health and Medical Education Minister Arti Singh Rao launched this portal on Friday from the Sector-1 Rest House in Panchkula. During the press conference, she described it as "a historic day for the Health Department."
Multiple Services Available
The Minister explained that the portal offers several important services:
- Booking doctor appointments in advance
- Registering complaints related to health services
- Receiving callbacks within 5 days for complaint resolution
- Accessing information about medicines
All Chief Medical Officers from across the state joined the launch event through video conferencing.
"The main objective is to save people from standing in lines at hospitals," Rao said. "Citizens can book their consultation time with doctors in advance by dialing 104." She also mentioned that necessary steps would be taken to ensure the safety of healthcare workers in hospitals.
Addressing Doctor Shortage
When asked about the shortage of doctors, the Minister stated that the government is working to address this issue. Recently, 761 new doctors have been appointed. The existing e-Tele Medicine services will also be integrated with this new portal. Regarding hospital repairs, Rao mentioned that a meeting would soon be held with the Public Works Department to address maintenance work.
