Haryana residents are eagerly waiting today as CM Nayab Singh Saini gets ready to roll out his first full budget since taking office. Sources indicate that the 2025-26 budget might surpass the Rs 2 lakh crore mark – quite a jump from last year's Rs 1.89 lakh crore spending plan.

Everyone from farmers to businesspeople to ordinary citizens has been speculating about what's in budget for them. The government's been positioning this as a "growth-oriented" budget that'll hopefully kick Haryana's development into high gear while making sure nobody gets left behind.

Women Empowerment Through Lado Lakshmi Yojana

The most awaited announcement that's got everyone talking is the Lado Lakshmi Yojana. This scheme, which was plastered all over BJP's campaign posters during the October 2024 elections, promises to put Rs 2,100 every month in the pockets of women across Haryana.

An anonymous government official stated, "The pressure's been building from all sides – opposition parties and women's groups. Once this scheme gets the official nod in the budget, we're looking at thousands of women throughout Haryana getting a real financial boost."

Triple Engine Growth Model

The timing of this budget couldn't be better for the BJP, who've been thumping their chests about their "triple engine government" after sweeping the recent municipal polls. This hat-trick of power at central, state, and local levels means they can work on their agenda without much resistance.

According to a senior government official, "With the BJP-led government firmly in place at the central, state, and local levels, all major sectors are expected to receive significant funding boosts.

The budget is expected to align with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of "Viksit Bharat" (Developed India) by 2047, with Haryana positioning itself as a model state in this national development journey.

Inclusive Budget-Making Process

The government's tried something different this time around. For the first time, public suggestions were actively sought through an online portal, resulting in over 10,000 responses from citizens across the state.

During one of the pre-budget meetings, CM Saini was overheard saying, "This back-and-forth with the public has really opened our eyes to what people actually care about." The budget's expected to pour money into Haryana's traditional strongholds – agriculture, healthcare, roads and bridges, schools, and sports facilities.
