
During a public gathering in support of BJP's mayoral candidate Ram Avtar Balmiki, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced the plan to provide Rs 2,100 monthly assistance to women across Haryana as promised before elections. The bill for the same will be introduced in the upcoming budget session. This announcement quickly drew attention of opposition leaders as Congress MLA Bharat Bhushan Batra declatred his intentions of approaching the State Election Commission considering it as a violation of Model code of Conduct.
CM Saini highlighted the vision of the government is to make women more empowered through various schemes and initiatives. The government has already helped over 1500 women in achieving financial success through Lakhpati Didi Yojana and aims to make 5,000 Lakhpati Didis. CM Saini also emphasised the efforts of government in providing houses to people under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
Responding to former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda's criticism about the BJP government's performance, Saini listed several achievements. These include providing 25,000 merit-based jobs, implementing a Rs 500 LPG cylinder scheme for 13 lakh families, and introducing free dialysis facilities. The CM also announced plans to create 2 lakh jobs over the next five years.
The day's events included the inauguration of a machining centre and a mammography bus at the LPS Bossard plant in Kharawar, Rohtak district. Former Haryana minister Manish Grover and LPS Bossard Managing Director Rajesh Jain attended the ceremony, demonstrating the government's focus on industrial development and healthcare infrastructure.
