
The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) has announced that the recruitment for remaining Group C positions will commence within four weeks. The Commission's chairman has formally submitted this initiative in response to the contempt petition in the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The contempt petition was filed against the Commission for allegedly not implementing the High Court's May 31, 2024 order completely.
List of Pending Recruitment Groups
The petitioner, Shubhendra through advocate Chandrahas Yadav had highlighted that the recruitment for 5 groups- 12, 13, 22, 30, and 32 remained unaddressed while recruitment for other groups had been completed. There have been no advertisements for these groups suggesting delibrate non-compliance with court orders.
Legal Matters Halting Completion
HSSC 's response listed several ongoing legal matter affecting the completion of the recruitment process. The hearing for approximately 38 review applications is scheduled on February 21 before the Division Bench. Commission also highlighted that one hearing is scheduled on February 25 as some candidates have filed contempt petitions. The Chief Secretary of Haryana has submitted an affidavit detailing the steps taken to comply with the court's directives.
The Commission has assured to complete the recruitment process and comply with the May 31, 2024 court orders within four weeks. This commitment has been formally recorded by the court, providing a clear timeline for the completion of the recruitment process.
