Transport Minister Anil Vij

Transport Minister of Haryana Anil Vij announced a new tracking application in a move to transform Haryana's public transport system. Through the application passengers will be able to track the real-time location, view arrival times and schedule their travel accordingly. This application aims to prevent passengers from seeking alternative transport options by providing reliable scheduling information.

Modern Bus Infrastructure

The Transport department of Haryana plans to upgrade bus stations across the state taking inspiration from the facilities at Airport. Digital display boards showing arrival and departure time and other information will be installed on the bus stops similar to those found on airports. Other initiatives include better restroom facilities with special consideration for women and passengers travelling on long routes.

Tourism Department's Food Service Initiative

Haryana Tourism Department will also launch a pilot project on five bus stations where food and beverage services will be provided. If this turns out a success it will expanded to all over the state. Additionally, the department may establish a dedicated corporation for managing food services.

Energy Sector Progress

In a significant development for the state's energy infrastructure, the government has cleared obstacles for establishing an 800 MW thermal power plant in Yamunanagar. The minister confirmed that BHEL has received authorization to commence work on this major project, which was accomplished within the first 100 days of the current government's third term.
